How to connect Google Sheets
Step-by-step guide to linking your Google Sheets account to Donum so you can pull live spreadsheet data into your reports.
Updated June 23, 2026
Connecting Google Sheets to Donum takes about two minutes and gives you live, always-fresh data in every report.
Prerequisites
You need a Google account with access to the spreadsheet you want to connect. A Donum workspace on any paid plan supports unlimited connectors.
Steps
Open your workspace, go to Connections, and click Add connection. Search for Google Sheets and click Connect. You will be taken to a Google OAuth consent screen — approve the requested permissions. Once approved, Donum will list all spreadsheets your account can access. Select the one you want and click Save.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Donum store a copy of my spreadsheet data?
- No. Donum fetches data live from Google Sheets each time a report runs. Nothing is persisted on our servers beyond your report output.
- Can I connect a sheet I do not own?
- Yes, as long as the sheet has been shared with your Google account with at least Viewer access.
